COVID-19 PAndemic FAQs

CCPS and our supply partners are closely monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic globally. As the situation continues to evolve, our priority remains the safety of our clients, your patients and our employees.  We are committed to ensuring continued support for the programs that you entrust us to manage.

Below, CCPS has created a list of FAQs to address some commonly asked questions. If you have any specific concerns or questions regarding your clinical trial or Early Access Medicines program, please do not hesitate to contact us at or reach out to your dedicated CCPS Project Manager.

Are CCPS facilities/sites currently open?

Yes, the CCPS UK and US facilities/sites are open and are fully operational.

Does CCPS have an established Business Continuity Plan to cover this type of event?

CCPS has an established Business Continuity Plan which is supported by site specific disaster recovery plans.

Is CCPS actively managing contingency plans linked to the current COVID-19 pandemic?

CCPS has a dedicated Steering Committee which is monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic closely to ensure appropriate actions are taken.  We will keep our clients informed of any actions or changes taken by CCPS.

Are there countries where CCPS is unable to ship materials to due to the COVID-19 pandemic?

Many countries are closing their national borders to foreign travellers; however, transit via road and airfreight for cargo are still permitted.

If restrictions are encountered for any services that CCPS provides to our clients, CCPS will explore alternative options for flights, direct drives, requests for special access, permission for regulatory dispensations (e.g. Direct-To-Patient delivery), etc.

CCPS will do all we can to minimize any disruptions to the services we provide to our clients.

Are there countries where CCPS is unable to source product due to the COVID-19 pandemic?

While many countries are still allowing product sourcing, there may be specific product export bans or quantity restrictions. CCPS will work with our clients to share the information, and if needed, develop an alternative plan for sourcing.

Does CCPS anticipate the COVID-19 pandemic will impact your ability to provide delivery of materials to clients?

At this time, CCPS is experiencing minimal distributions/supply chain delays.

In the event we encounter a shipping delay, CCPS will work to alleviate delays through the use of alternative airlines and local service providers. Additionally, we will work with our clients on alternatives that will meet their needs.

Do you anticipate any disruptions from your courier providers?

CCPS is closely monitoring lead times for both express and specialist courier services. We will work with our clients to build in lead times to account for any potential delays.

What type of country impact are you facing, and how are you managing staff/work within those countries?

CCPS’s COVID-19 Steering Committee continues to monitor the situation as it evolves and take any necessary mitigation actions to limit the impact. Currently, we are not experiencing a county impact to managing our staff in specific countries.

What is CCPS doing to protect your employees from the virus?

CCPS has implemented a business travel ban for any high-risk zones, and business travel is restricted to business critical activities only.


At our facilities/sites, CCPS is following the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and The World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines related to staff coming to work with flu-like symptoms, and we are requiring all our employees who are able to carry out their work duties remotely, to work from home.
