POSITION SUMMARY
The Business Development Manager – Europe will be responsible for driving new business growth across the European region. This role focuses on identifying, developing, and closing new opportunities within pharmaceutical, biotech, and clinical research organizations, while maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and strategic accounts. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of clinical trial supply chains, GMP environments, and the pharmaceutical services landscape.
ORGANIZATIONAL POSITION
This post holder reports to the Sr Global Director of Sales and Business Development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities across Europe within pharma, biotech, academia, and CRO sectors
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospects aligned with CalCog’s service offerings
- Lead commercial discussions, including proposals, pricing, and contract negotiations
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve revenue targets
- Collaborate closely with operations, project management, and quality teams to ensure feasible and compliant solutions
- Maintain strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor throughout the sales cycle
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments within the clinical supply industry
- Represent CalCog at industry conferences, networking events, and client meetings
- Provide regular forecasting, pipeline updates, and performance reporting
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within clinical trials, pharma services, or life sciences
- Strong understanding of clinical supply chain, GMP requirements, and clinical trial operations
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment
- Experience working with pharmaceutical sponsors and/or CROs
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to manage complex sales cycles across multiple stakeholders
- Self-starter with strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking
- Willingness to travel across Europe and US, as required
