Position Summary
The Warehouse Operator is responsible for executing day-to-day operations within a cGMP-compliant warehouse environment. The post holder will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day operational tasks that may include working within the warehouse, production, and distribution areas. This includes receiving, storing, labelling and distributing materials, components and finished goods in accordance with company procedures and regulatory guidelines. The role ensures all warehouse activities are performed with a focus on safety, accuracy, and compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
Organizational Position
This role reports to the Operations Manager or designee.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and components in accordance with internal procedures and cGMP standards.
- Accurately pick, stage, and issue materials for production or customer orders.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through timely and correct data entry into ERP.
- Perform cycle counts and physical inventory as required.
- Ensure proper storage conditions for materials, including temperature-controlled and quarantine areas.
- Label, package, and ship materials in compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization according to safety and 5S principles
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and reach trucks safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to GDP (Good Documentation Practices) and maintain accurate records for all material movements.
- Support quality investigations (e.g., deviations, non-conformances) as needed.
- Escalate issues related to materials, documentation, or compliance to site leadership.
- Participate in cGMP and safety training sessions contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment through active communication and support.
- Other duties as assigned according to the changing needs of the business.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations; prior experience in a cGMP or regulated environment preferred.
- Basic understanding of cGMP, GDP, and material handling practices.
- Familiarity with warehouse or ERP systems is a plus.
- Ability to follow written procedures and complete documentation with a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance.
- Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
